You have a choice between using photos, drawings, illustrations and clipart. First advice is choose one kind/style (i.e. black and white photos) and stick with that for the whole presentation. Don’t mix and match. Second advice avoid clipart: they are so last century!
You can embed pictures or by importing it or by copy & paste. I suggest the former because you have more control over the result.
