An image is worth 1000 words, even in presentations.

It’s not the first I talk about images for a presentation.

Now, to use pictures the first thing you need is… pictures. A camera is a great starting point, no kidding. Many times I preferred to shoot them myself, to avoid cliché and have exactly the picture I was after. More often you may use stock photos, or illustrations (spells “anything but clip-arts”).  Where to find them?

My advice is don’t go searching randomly on the net. Many times they are not free to use (check the rights always) and more often than not they are in low resolution. There are many websites that offer images for personal and commercial use. Some are paying sites, I use a couple of them, and some are free (or free + premium),
