If you want to do something, do it. If you want to show a number, give it the appropriate prominence, even the whole visual aid if needed. If you want to leave space between two elements do it clearly. Don’t linger. A decisive communication creates messages that are easier to grasp and are perceived as more solid.
If you are not sure and leave things unresolved it will be harder for the audience to read your visual communication and the uncertainty will emerge.
